Thoughts of Water

Thoughts of Water

by Alicia Radage

Black grey pastel light come now,

Black kettles. Thoughts of water,

Striding. Gliding. Hunched. Flexed.

Thoughts of water.

Pouring glass down my feet.

Incensed nerves

Dragging crumbling cement.

Thoughts of water.

Coloured nerves.

Pawing Membranes. Clawing Membranes.

Holes fusing.

Thoughts of water.

Pouring through me with concern for yourself.

Tying up live strands in the hope of explosion,

Generous Atoms

Flecked White Midnights.

Shards of vacuum

Thoughts of water.

Skinning vibrant colours

Flowing behind the void

As you trace through my bones I feel us live

Can we construct a human ladder of performers?

How readable will this be as a physical/corporal representation of the Trowbridge Estate/Northaird Tower demolition?

Can the ‘bottom floors’ performer recite a transcript of the video text - steadily going from very calm, composed, relaxed, well spoken - to out of breath, flusterred, under intense pressure, trying to hold it all together, before collapsing the text and the performers above?

Perhaps this human ladder is the means for the 'top floor; performer to 'escape the island’ and the theatre space?

Acura MDX Navigation DVD 2014

My review of the latest Acura MDX Navigation Update - including where to buy at a discount.

My Review of the Acura MDX Navigation DVD and Where to Buy

I drive a 2011 Acura MDX – it’s the love of my life. I also review products online and share information on technology as and when I can.  You can see some of my work on the Tech Radar website.  I thought I’d use this Tumblr blog to put some information together about the Acura MDX Navigation DVD.  I had to buy one last year as the GPS maps on my in-dash system had become out of date and were showing up roads that no longer exist – MASSIVE PROBLEM – especially as a I have to drive long distances as part of my job.  To get new maps you have to buy an Acura Navigation DVD (otherwise known as the Acura MDX Navigation Update) – once you get it you just slot it in the disc slot and the new maps should start to install automatically.

Where to Buy Cheap Acura MDX Navigation DVDs

image

There are quite a few resellers online who deal with navigation DVDs and GPS updates, but the one which I found the lowest and cheapest discounts on was the Walt Gray website.  Walt seems to know his stuff when it comes to navigation and offers some great deals on the latest disc and DVD update.  I recommend him 100% and am happy to place a link through to his website on my blog – use him, you won’t regret it (click on the red button above)!

Installing and Set-Up

As I said earlier, the installation process is a piece of cake.  All you do eject your old MDX GPS Update DVD, and then insert the new one.  With the engine running, you should then see a message appear on the screen of your GPS display asking you if you want to install new maps – of course you do so press the yes to confirm command.  The install process took me about 15 minutes.  There’s a load of data that need to install into the Acura’s system so be patient – good things come to those that wait!

New Maps with New Roads and Addresses

Once installed, you’re ready to drive.  There are no discernible differences or changes in how the actual display on the Acura MDX navigation system looks, however what you do get are thousands of more miles of road that are either new or that have changed over the last 12 months since you probably installed the last Acura MDX navigation system update.  In addition to that there are loads more business addresses now listed, including those that might have moved premises since the last update.  It’s really worth the money, especially when you consider how much time and gas you can waste if you end up getting lost whilst driving somewhere new.

Highly Recommended and Rated

My rating for the Acura MDX Navigation DVD comes in with a very impressive 5 stars out of 5.  If you drive, if you want the best GPS experience, and want to get the best from your navigation system then this is the best choice for you – and as I said, talk to Walt Gray – he’s the man for navigation!
